A Tale of two capes?
It was the Thursday ID spiral meetup, I was sitting on the floor, out of it a bit when suddenly this large black capped figure loomed up in front of me, blocking the sun. As I looked up startled a torrent of abuse swarmed forth from the figure " you miserable old bastard....." I looked up , confused and bemused. The tirade continued, suddenly the hood was throw back to revieal a smiling , laughing face. I was aware of people laughing around me..but I was still completely clueless as to the identity of the figure. the torrent had stopped to be replaced with laughter.....finally after several clues I realised who it was! IDGOM!! soon I was laughing and hugging too....
On sturday night (I think) I was completely off my head at the FW camp2. it was late, I was cold. I asked if any one had a jumper or a coat I could borrow...Whatnocheeese gave me one of his capes. I rememeber the gold/yellow linning cool against my skin and the warm caursness of the black. I felt so warm, so snug, so safe, wrapped up in love.......I woke in the morning still wrapped in that love... wonderful...I hope he will forgive my rudeness for not even saying thankyou....

Just wish I could have been everywhere at once so much going on and so hard to decide where to go, ended up being like a leaf on the wind and floating from one great moment to the next.
Yet agian it was all you guys ( in the context of eveyone in a nonsexual, labelist way ) who made the event soooooo special and I'm looking forward to meeting youall again soon I hope at Stir.

I may be heading stateside next year some point, and I'm hoping to visit a mate in Houston while I'm there. Perhaps I could come over to Austin for a day or something?

I've been trying to find this post for ages, I read it when I couldn't reply and knew it was here somewhere.
Zen that was such a funny moment for me too - I just couldn't believe that you didn't realise that it was me - I was trying to keep my stream of abuse going but the laughter won out in the end. It was just so funny that you had absolutely no idea who I was and that you accepted the fact that caped women stand over you, giving you earache as a normal festie event. The laughter won out though, was a lovely festie moment for me too.

awwwwe yeah! of course, anytime. if you come mid-march, we'll be in the middle of sxsw & there should be some good music all over the place. anytime after, it'll be hot enough to float the river or do the boat thing. it'll probably be very similar the searing heat experienced at the festival

awesome, just awesome
just made it home from spain and the benicassim festival which i went to straight after so havent had a chance to post till now....
had a wicked time meeting everyone on the thursday night although i was far too stoned to remember any of the names and which ones go with the internet names!
zincs set was indeed wicked and the sound on the origin stage was fucking amazing once again. mmmmm......
lots of effort went into making the place very very pretty as always and who couldve asked for better weather? it was just about right i thought even the welfare wasnt too hard, compared to last year there were virtually no casualties - bonus!
roll on 2007!

favourite moment for me was. commerical hippies. seeing some FWinos finally!!! you'd been hiding all weekend. add in lasers fucking everywhere! it was awesome.
favourite set was Phil Hartnoll, who played a pretty filthy 'bordering on dnb' breaks set, at least that's what it seemed like at the time. with classic orbital tunes somehow mixed in perfectly.
