What does the car pass allow ???
Does it mean i can use said car as a wind break, Safe, or sleep next to it in my tent with a pass....
Not really sure what a car pass is and whether to get one...

So are you saying everyone who has a car.... i.e everyone... will also need a car ticket as well to allow parking for 3 days or does the ticket allow you to have your car near your tents ??
Sorry if i'm being a bit dense, just want to make sure I have the right tickets..... It's a throw back to my Dib Dib Dob Dob days and being prepared...

Well last year you needed to buy a ticket for parking your car, but you can't pitch next to your car. As far as I'm aware most 'organised/offical' festivals don't allow you to pitch a tent near your car for health & safety reasons.
*I may be wrong though, I generally am*
I really want to come, but it would have to be just the weekend & unfortunately I can't afford to buy a ticket just yet - no doubt by the time I can they will be too expensive for me to justify buying them if we're only stopping for the weekend.

Cheers Shiva
As long as it's nothing like The Big Chill with a 2 mile trudge up and down mountains then I'm happy.... so it looks like we do need a car ticket as well... fair do's....
Hope you can come...

thanks *fingers crossed*
There were horses and carts to help transport camping stuff - though it did all get a bit heated with people squabbling to get their stuff on. We waited for a while and then Alan went off in search of one himself and left me in charge of nabbing the next one to arrive should his mission be unsuccessful. However people were quite aggressively shoving in front of me - and I was in no mood to be confrontational.
Fortunately Alan managed to commandeer (not with force but a little bribery ) a horse and cart (and 'driver' ..... he didn't nick it) and arrived like a knight in shining armour - or at least like a knight in psychedelic attire and a top hat, to rescue me and a very laid back chap who had also given up trying compete with those grabbing the cart 'taxis'.

Nice one..... Good one Alan.... never like hearing about impatient forcefull people at a start of a chilled out festival... don't those types belong at the bigger 'sponsered' festivals....
Oh well I assume said people left at a lot slower pace....
I guess I may have to actually build my golf trolley festival tent stuff moving device.... or try and find the same chap with his horse and cart....

Well TF, I think it's all been covered above....
If you're arriving by car, you need somewhere to park, so you need a 'car pass'.
Cars are left in a seperate field, as Shiva mentioned, H&S rules prevent people having cars in the camping field.
The above also applies to motorbikes.
There are also campervan & caravan passes available, but that's another story. .... Or should I say field.

Hello Torbz and Sunrise people. I've got my tickets but have some friends who now want some. Will it be cheaper to buy them here or are they the same price as Bristol tkt shop?
