So i have been to many festivals over the years but have never taken kids!!
I know the basics of what to take for myself but has anyone got any top tips for stuff and kit to bring for the kids. They are 9 and 11 and its there first festival!!!

some books, maybe a frisbee, or some sort of ball game, how about twister LOL
PV may be able to help with stuff that R and J took last year....

Do they like to read? I wouldn't have gone anywhere at that age without books.

Yeah i think i still have it! good call on the pigs, but then we always take that anyway

yeah the pigs are always on my festival kit list!!!
not sure what they like really apart from the bloody tele and play station! but hey there not mine!!! lol

yeah games is a good one....the swingball in the FW camp last year was good!
are they girls or boys?......girls may like to dress up.....face paints and tatoo's......come see me if they are into this i always have that stuff
.....and ask what food they eat coz some kids hate festival food!!....always a good idea to bring a few pot noodles and stuff maybe!!!.

Hmm, stockings and suspenders for him then eh? What fun  Russell Brand in a basque and sussys - phoar! Oops, sorry - lost the plot then for a while

have you ever actually tried to eat a scalding hot melted marshmallow off a stick in the dark?
last year ruby and joe took their diabolo and pois, a book and comic each, some pencils and small activity pads, face paints, pocket money to do their own shopping, um can't remember anything else! small puzzle type things like a rubiks cube are good, swing ball is always a winner. apart from that they just enjoyed seeing bands, playing with other children and mooching about

on a more practical note, sun block and hats, warm hats and gloves and clothes for night time, wellies and waterproofs including trousers if possible, calpol, plasters, old mobile phone for keeping in touch, water bottles, camping chairs
