That's a very good question RM ...and if the answer is yes, can we have a set price please? I heard of people being charged £10 each last year by some people

Well pointed out everybody.
Thankfully we are way ahead of you. There will be horse and carts and, unlike in the past, they will be contracted directly to us and we are setting the conditions in which they can work.
One of these is that there is a maximum charge per cartload (a full cart) of £15 to prevent overcharging which isn't fair on anybody.
There will however be less carts than in previous years so will probably be in demand. There is also an onsite shuttle bus to help.

In fairness, the horses used are part of the lives of the people using them. Most are genuine horsedrawn living folk who are very closely bonded to their horses and look after them with the kind of care and attention you may give your kin.
The horses used are working horses and, to be honest, may well love their life on the road more than they love sitting in a field until death.
Who knows? Ask them....

i spoke to some horse folk last year they were realy very nice i also went for a walk one morning and watched the hoses in the field around the edge of the site they were well fed well watered and by all meens very well looked after, the horses were chasing after each other and frolicking (i think thats what you call it)but sadly in the day they were standing roound in the sun tied to a cart some times getting whipped to move faster thats the bit that i didnot like, granted im a great big
goowy mush when it comes to animals i cant stand on snails or perposly hurt anything like that.i liked the field bit i was munted a bit and the sun has just come up and it was all lovely and yum.i just like the idea of a bus for folkes instead of break the horses back,i think im a bit of an idealist not a realist.

I think £15 is a massive amount of money when youve already bought tickets and got to the site (it effectivley adds another £30 to tkt price). Its a long long way to the camp site from the car park, its the main thing i dislike about sunrise, it makes the start & end of the festy very stressful if youre on a budget.
Will there be a charge for the bus? if so how much please?

The bus will be free.
The point of the £15 set fee is that it is per cartload. Each cart should be able to hold the belongings of 5+ people on them, presuming they are not carrying too much each. On the other hand if you have a big yurt and lots of kids, I understand it is tricky but I hope that the horsedrawn drivers can be talked to and set a reasonable price in special cases. Most of them are reasonable, particularly as we are picking and choosing this time round.
I would be very interested to hear any other feedback about this subject, particularly after the event this year to see how the new system works.
Thanks, Dan

the bus sounds like the way forward then! does it take you from the car park straight to the entrance of the campsite?

Well, as buses go - you gotta think of the fuel consumption and the pollution too... hehehe
Animals have been used as working animals for centuries innit, the ones that the Sunrise crew employ are never going to be 'slaves' and/or poorly treated.
I say we load up Fritz, Gh0sty, TF & Festive Al (cos they'd do it for luv)

Yay, a shuttle bus, you guys are brilliant. This will be my third year, and whilst I've had stressful thoughts of how to get in with children and all the stuff, in reality it has been really easy both times. We payed a lot less for the horse drawn. I am betting that this year you are expecting way more people this year though, so having a combination of horse drawn and bus is very reassuring.
Hey I heard a rumour (facebook) that the horse drawn folk aren't actually going to have a camp this year. If that is true it will be a shame, my son learnt loads last year, especially great coin trick!
Still, every year it is slightly different and it makes it memorable and exciting¬
Can't wait.
