I tried the sweat lodge last year. Only thing is with having to leave all my clothes in the public area I was so worried about them being stolen(which would of course cause great embarassment and problems) that I only lasted 10 minutes, before dashing out to check that my clothes were still there and to get changed.
Would be reassuring to all sweat lodge participants if our clothes can be left in a safe area/tent whilst being in the sweat lodge. Rather than having to leave them outside where this is a risk they could be taken. Any chance this could be arranged?

Well when I was there last year, everyone went in naked. I'm not sure if it's an absolute rule that you HAVE to be naked to go in there though.
Also for anyone who's not tried a sweat lodge before, it is VERY hot. Unless you're fairly used to taking saunas, I would not recommend trying a sweat lodge session.

naked is ftw here but you should deffinately take your own towel to sit on for hygeine purposes, you dont really want to sit on the ground where a naked sweaty bottom has been before you...

Thanks Dan. That is very good news that there will be a tipi to keep our clothes in during the Sweat Lodge. Last year I was worried like mad that my clothes would be stolen!
I look forward to taking part again this year then!

Shame you worried about clothes being stolen. My experience of Sunrise for the last 2 years I really wouldn't expect anything like that to happen, it's just not that kind of crowd.

Ye, I think it's unlikely that your clothes will be stolen from outside. But can you just imagine if you were unlucky enough to come out from the sweat lodge to find that all your clothes had been stolen! Your trousers, t-shirt, underwear, trainers, towel, etc, everything! It would be incredibly embarassing and problematic to say the least!
It wouldn't really be possible to take all your clothes into the sweat lodge as it's complete darkness in there. Most people don't even take a towel in.
Anyway, seems that participants will be able to leave their clothes in a nearby tipi this year.
