If you're planning on doing any more festys, take along the crappest piece of cheap shit that you can bear to spend 4 days in. Even though Sunrise is suposed to be an eco festival, loads of people still abandon their tents at the end. I had a choice of 5 nice ones last year + a similar number at the end of WOMAD, Endorse It, Larmer Tree ....... Was gutted I could only carry 1 extra tent home on the train

adopting an orphand tent.. now i never thought of that!!! I guess the trick is to find one that doesnt have dodgy smells/substance/stains or the like kept within its shiny nylon walls.

It's called "Character". My tents have so much character that English Heritage are threatening to make them listed buildings - every burn-hole or gunky stain can tell a story of festival fun

Not that this is crap weather specific, but in the absence of an all-weather thread...
* berocca
* wet wipes
* glitter
* a torch

Sallopettes (skiing trousers) - warm and waterproof, so you can sit down anywhere and not get a wet bum.
One (cheap) spare tent between your group, to chuck all the wet muddy stuff in, so your base camp tent stays nice and dry & snuggly.
Tarpaulin.
A few spare tent pegs, as if it's really wet the originals might wash away, and that makes for a dangerously wobbly tent.
Most importantly - a happy, friendly, I'm going to make lots of friends and have a brilliant time attitude.

i found that those little LED light things with a button to activate.. very handy at raves and festies.. at sunrise i used it to navigate my way around the mud... the tent.. and to add that lil extra.. glow stick in one hand and led thingy in another.

You can get wind-up or solar charge versions of low power LED lamps too.
