I know it's a lot to ask but any chance of someone getting a message out to the rest of us (via here) about how the site is doing (ie muddy or no)?

Twould be really useful in deciding what gear to take

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, best be prepared for any weather. If someon posted that it's lovely and sunny and then it raine from Fri on . . . .

On the Big Chill site it says that it gets quite chilly in the evenings

My son is already on site and has been since yesterday, he said it rained last night, says it isn't particularly muddy, but some wet areas of ground. Given that there is some more rain forecast and lots of people it could get muddier!!

no way, wellies FTW!! they keep yer feet n trousers dry when theres a heavy dew at night/early morning. and don't require lacing up when worse for wear Wink Not just for rain!

Army surplus boots all the way baby!

Thanks Ghosty!

Having a contact on the inside (as they say!) is pretty useful for what to take, but not for your nerves! Someone was posting info about Glasto on the efestivals forums from the Wednesday of that week, and it was quite useful.

Ps Wellies great as you mention festivalchooks scept (if you gotta wear em all weekend) then you get nice sweaty/blistery feet and they are IMPOSSIBLE to dance in (unless ur dancing dosnt involve lifting ur feet off the ground)

^^ well i alternate between wellies and hiking boots, but if its deep mud then i'm always glad to have the wellies. I avoid blisters and the cold by wearing more than one pair of socks...then the socks rub each other, not you Very Happy
