Hi

There are a few of us going to Sunrise and things are getting a bit tricky. Basically, we are a family, 2 adults and 2 children, and a carer as one of the adults is disabled. We have quite a ibt of stuff and so are thinking about going in 2 cars. Will both cars be able to park together in the disabled area? If so do we need to buy a car park ticket? And if not how can we get into the festival as either the carer or one of the family will be in a different car to the different car as we need 2 drivers?

Any info you can give would be great.

Thanks

Cant wait for the festie! Smile

Hi

It says in the GAMA FAQs that the carer must arrive with the disabled person for the ticket to be valid. This would mean that one of the people on the family ticket would be alone when arriving as the other three members of the family would be in the other car with the carer.

Again on the GAMA FAQs it says that those with the higher level disability camp in a different area to the others. I was just slightly concerned that tickets would need to be shown to get into the car parks and either the carer, or one member of the family might have trouble doing this.

So, it should be ok to park sperately (if we buy one extra car park ticket can we get them on the gate?), then meet up in the car park and go in to the festival site together?

ok that seems clearer, car park passes are bought at the gate, ticket and wristband processing occurs in the car at either the first accreditation point or the second, this means by the time you have all your passes and bumff you are shown to the car parks where there is nothing left to do but park, it would be up to you to park your car. the disabled car park area is small so we cannot allow non disabled access. they will be able to wait at that area for you to come on in.

is that ok?
