I loved the Glade this year. The site, the people (thanks for teaching me how to stiltwalk Mary), the music. It was brilliant. I just wondered if anyone wanted just a tiny bit more funky, groovy, disco house there too. Someone like Inland Knights or DIY would have gone down amazingly in the Pussy Parlore or on the Sancho Panza system and the music is perfect for early evening. Anyway, top weekend. thanks all.

IMO, if you want more of a particular type of dance music, you've got every right to request it (I'd like more DnB please - and I know I'm not the only one!). Like the Doc says, each to their own - just because you don't like, say, House or Breaks or Psytrance, it doesn't mean you have to listen to them - there were ten stages, after all!

What would be interesting would be to see a reasoned articulation of where these intense reactions of yours are coming from, dave-h... that's what Festival Weather is for, some head grooving, some explication and comprehension... some sharing of ideas... so rather than rejecting Stagman's offering of House as a vehicle for his turned on history, instead of opening your mind to the secrets he has to share, and has offerred to share, with you, mr dave-h, you have painted a rough slash of a single colour, and having demanded our attention, rewarded us with nothing... mr dave-h... get spirlax to vocalise his evolution of dance music theories , he's told me a couple of times and it always makes perfect sense. mind you, he picks his moments and im usually a wee bit trashed.. But no, im sure he has a logical progression thats interesting to think about.

To be honest I'm a bit rubbish when it comes to putting things in genre boxes anyway - I do love my psytrance as everyone knows, but I like so much more as well - I wouldn't want to close my mind to any music to be honest - there is good to be found in all sorts of weird and wonderful places. I EVEN LIKE SOME COUNTRY ...... AND WESTERN, YES I'M SHOUTING COZ I KNOW EVERYONE ELSE HATES IT! ok not much .... but some of it is ok...... honest Embarassed

! Half the time I don't know what the precise 'genre' is with dance music anyway & it's always fun to make up your own pretentious genre and have a conversation with someone who thinks they know it all who agrees with whatever nonsense you've just made up Wink

No music is shit - you may not like it .... so don't listen to it, but to dismiss it as 'shit' it is surely to imply that the opinion of those who like it is less valid than yours, and that's pretty damned arrogant.

Go Asyd..............Its all about the groove and House has it, Sancho was Rockin. Its like a Menu , some days you want nice cold salad, next day its Chilli...Did we all stop at the same stages..NO we are open minded ,Dance Fueled individuals who apreciate music Want to dance and get away from "Boxed-up" Society....

from what i heard there was plenty of house at sancho. i just found the up hill thing too odd. i prefer dance floors that are flat becuse me and gravity dont get on. if u want house go to global gathering as there plenty there.

Ha whats in a name? ...I told someone at work that I went to Glade , when they asked what what was that? and I said an "Electronic Music Festival" they thought it meant "Emerson lake and Parmer" "Eno" and "Rick Wakeman" <g>
