Altern8

The one thing on my list to be at all weekend was Altern8 and i fucking missed it. I got trashed and missed it. I bet i missed a blinder and i knew it, boy am i still peeved. Did they play in the full boiler suits and masks? What was the set list?

Me and nologo were right at the back so we couldn't see much but nologo saw one of them in full noddy suit and gas mask. Don't know if both of them were there.

From what I remember (and can recognise) they played some of their own stuff, Belfast/Orbital, LFO/LFO, Energy Flash/Joey Beltram, Charley Says/Prodigy and In Your Face/808 State. There was a bunch more but I can't think of what else they played at the mo.

And there were green lasers! Nologo says "Oi Oi" spinnin

i frakkin missed em as well....

me saw abit of spooky - then put ma phone in for chargin.... they said a few hours - so i figured i'd get abit of rest as i hadnt slept since wednesday night.....

i passed out tho - i kinda remember throbbin beats in ma sleep - and i woke up as soon as it all stopped! 4am! exactly! wahaaaaaa

ya not see em a few years back at monkee? they played up at keele - just in normal clothes then... i think this was just about when they decided to get back into it...

I missed it - but a mate, who's a DJ (and not a hardcore one either...) reckoned it was the best set he saw all weekend!

yah man i still go for abit of monkee magic - there aint much else too choose from as far as i know!

tho its stopped till prolly october now - not enough ppl when the students go home... everyone's down trinity street being chavtastic at walkabout and liquid Neutral

i'm doin a gig at snatchMO's on friday 11th august.. supportin the mighty Dragon..who play music which is kinda like ozric tenticles meets the prisoner..

me is doin a mostly slowish dark breaks live pa off ma lappy - tis gonna be a challenge playin to an audience at such an early time of night - prolly about 9pm...and i dont think ma comp is upto the stress!

neither am i !

ya should pop along - should be an interestin evenin at least..
