Yep just spoke to Ghosty on site and the is no problem with camping in the North field.
He also said it's still dry and lovely with shed loads of camping space.
See ya there

Now officialy confused with the other post about this here -also read on BC forum that North was closed due to no toilets rather than anything to do with Sunrise or not

The BCers still seem to be a bit confused. I think it was our understanding that the North Camping would be for the sunrise festival bits, and for our camping. Hope that still holds up.
Well, I'll know in about *counting on fingers and toes, then reaches for slide rule*20 hours.
Hope to see you all down there whatever.

hey steveziggy....spare a thought for the poor people working the box office and stewards who were fed different information from one moment to the next about what was going on ...i was in the valley camping box office for 6 hours when the festy opened....we were told the north camping was closed due to it having no toilets.....we werent told when it reopened and so i thought i was helping and saving people much walking when really i was giving them wrong information......not my fault but being on the front line we had to deal with ALL the mistakes and balls-ups of both the festivals!!......this year the Chill was really badly organised and the Sunrise fiasco just added to the problems.....

Seems like there was a bit of confusion with the North camping. Maybe it was cause no portaloos were delivered there that caused the problem. There were plenty of the compost variety for us to use.
On my long and hard journey from the bus stop to North Camping I asked a few stewards whether North Camping was open or closed. They did not know, so I chanced it, and pleased I did.
So do I count as a "freak" than Hawkwind? Better a freak than a geek!

Phone numbers tattooed or just written? It is like "if found return to Lunar".
Must admit the box office did seem quite organised, well I got in quickly and no one even searched me. Didn't want them finding my vodka or magic chocolate brownies. The couple of people I did see taking aside with emails were dealt with understandingly and efficiently.

Good to see a friendly face in all the mayhem Lunar xxx
The confusion didn't help Sunrise. They got the blame for North Camp being closed and some Big Chillers on the way in were calling them VERY rude names. I'm not sure what really happened, but Sunrise were getting the blame 'for not providing the loos they said they would' - to quote a young friend who texted me from the site just before I arrived at around 11.30 on Thursday. Seemed fine to me in the end though - so much for the uncharitable comments made by Big Chillers - Sunrise was by far the nicer place to be.
