Hi all

We are now very panicky about our tickets from Bristol Ticket Shop as they were promised to arrive by today and the postie has been and gone with no joy.

I phoned BTS today and was told they were getting more in Tuesday and we'd get them Thursday!!! This is obviously unacceptable, and a different story to earlier in the week.

The girl I spoke to today said she'd check our sunrise ticket numbers and get back to us which she hasn't done so far ... Help! what do we do??

My ticket for the original sunrise hadn't arrived in time so my name was left at the ticket office and i would of had to take some id and a reference number when arriving on site! so not having the actual ticket in hand isn't a total disaster, i would n't worry too much Smile

My order status actually says SHIPPED. Tickets still not arrived today. and when I phoned them they confirmed that the tickets(well my ticket anyway) has NOT been shipped yet!!!! They are going out either today or Monday and to expect them by Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.

By the way, the woman on the phone at BTS I spoke to said that they didn't receive all the tickets untill WEDNESDAY of last week. Yet the person Sarah spoke to said they are expecting more tickets to arrive on TUESDAY!!! Who are we to believe???

What happens if we don't get our tickets in time???? Many of us will be travelling a long way. My journey is FIVE hours each way. And even if we take email confirmation, reference number, and ID we may still well get refused entry to the festival because we don't have a proper ticketl!!!!

I agree it is completely unnaceptable this is. And will inconvenience a good number of people. What about people who have booked early trains on Thursday, and will not be in to wait for the post person on that day? They'll have to either go without a ticket and take their reference number, ID, etc and hope like mad they can get entry to the festival. Or wait in for tickets to (hopefully) be delivered, but then have to pay a huge amount extra on the train fare because they'd have to buy another ticket for the outbound journey which would be very expensive, especially if they're travelling from afar.

Not completely Bristiol Tickets Shop fault, as Big Chill have left it so late to send them the tickets!!!! Why oh why did they send not out the tickets much earlier?? It's ridiculous.

Just chill out - a festival is a massive undertaking and so some things are not going to go as planned. The tickets will arrive and it will be all hunky dory. There are more important things in life to worry about.

Don't worry bootsysarah, at least you are not alone. Out of 10 friends who opted for BC only half have received tickets Shocked

I have an email from BTS as confirmation of the exchange, but no ticket stub or armband from Sunrise, as we were allowed on the site, and then I lost my armband on the way home. I really hope that tickets turn up on Monday or Tuesday at the very very latest. We have to worry a little as Sunrise are adamant that no one should travel to BC without a ticket as they will not be able to get in. The following is from their website.......

************************************************************
If you haven't been issued an actual BIG CHILL ticket, you can't come to Sunrise at the Big Chill.

DONT WORRY IF YOU'VE PLACED AN ORDER AND IT'S NOT YET ARRIVED.

THEY SHOULD BE WITH YOU BETWEEN NOW AND MONDAY

If you just turn up at the gate, hoping to do a swap at the box office.. it won't happen.

No arrangement in advance... no entry.
*************************************************************

I have a lift arranged on Wednesday. Cutting things fine for sure. No room for errors. I'm sure they are all busy beavers working over the weekend at BTS and we will all be smiling as posty delivers on Monday. After all that we have been through so far, the tickets will arrive ok Smile

Panicking? Yes! I popped into BTS last week and they had not arrived yet, even though I phoned half an hour before and told they were in. It's that young guy, he is all over the place. He almost gave me a refund when I wanted an exchange, and I was right there in front of him!

Well, I'll pop down tomorrow lunch with my fingers crossed.

Of course, it is probably not their fault since the tickets are being assigned/printed elsewhere and they are just the messenger (of bad news?). Fingers crossed, deep breaths.

After reading all this I am actually half relieved that I am not the only poor sausage who hasn't got a ticket.

But it's ridiculous to expect people to wait until Thursday to receive their ticket! What if you are out when the Postie comes?? you have to wait 24 hours to collect it from the sorting office by which time the BC will have already started! I'm generally a very laid back type who refuses to worry about anything, but if I miss out on another Festival this year there will be real tears, and maybe even a wee tantrum..

Right anyway i'm off to do a visualisation meditation where by we all get our tickets and end up dancing in the sunshine all next weekend.... see you there!

the little "missed delivery" cards talk about 48 hours before picking up your post. Assuming most people work 9-5, and the postie comes after 9, it could be disaster.

Think positive thoughts, just think about lying in a field after few pints of local cider with some wicked music in the back ground and the only thought on your mind is "shall I go and take a p*ss now, or shall I go in five minutes. I like this tune".

FFS surely there has been long enough to organise getting everyone's tickets to them by now?

Organisational skills are coming into question, again!

Anybody suspecting a conspiracy?

Along the lines of; send out half the requested tickets and then say tothe remainder; 'Sorry we didn't get your tickets to you in time, you'll have to save them for Sunrise 2009'!

Cos I'll be quite surprised if Sunrise 2009 happens. And, even if it does, we'll probably be choosng a different festy next year, which is a shame cos we've enjoyed and been to all 3 Sunrises Sad

Melvin

PS: Maybe now ours will arrive and I'll be sheepishly eating my words!

Panicking !!!!.
I phoned last week BTS and they said they had been posted out.
I checked the tracking code and it said it had been delivered to bristol.
I live in yorkshire.
So I phone BTS again and they said there was a mix up. ha.
And it would all be sorted by today.
I phoned today and they said there web site is down and to call back on wednessday. Well i should be on the road by wednesday.
What are they playing at. !!!!
I think there are some lies going down.
I am a worried bunny, and it's no use in saying don't worry they can put your name on the gate. I have heard that one before and never got into the festival.
If they havent got the tickets, then say so. Don't lie to us.
I am, and I am sure many others are going to have long journey's ahead of us. And having a long journey with no ticket clutched in your hand is not a pleasant feeling.
Well i wish us all luck that we get our tickets.
We did our bit for Sunrise by not asking for refunds and heading off to a festival not of our choise.

Maybe sunrise could get on to BTS.
Cause I get the impression BRISTOL TICKET SHOP are fobbing us off...
i WONDER IF THERE COMPUTERS ARE WORKING IF YOU WANT TO PURCHASE A TICKET FOR ANOTHER EVENT...

Peace Smiallawyle.

I think a lot of people are planning to be on thir way by Weds, a lot of peeps walk or cycle and stufff!!!

The website seems fine to me!!!

It's not good enough, it's the same shambles that led to the festy being cancelled too late in the first place!

I'm currently wishing I'd opted for a refund and gone to another festival rather than supporting this badly organised one!

I've just called BTS to be told the same that their systems are down and therefore they cannot answer any questions. They did confirm that all the tickets for BC have been sent out today and that they should start to arrive tomorrow. Hmmm, I guess it's just wait and see....

I believe the man at BTS, and as I'm not leaving until Wednesday afternoon, they will be delivered ok, there is no problem Rolling Eyes

its soo much easier to be optimistic

I hope that there is someone home to sign

Good luck everybody!!!

Apologies!
We got tickets Tuesday and have all been working 16 hrs a day to get these out. Due to late arrival of tickets we're inundated by 'where are my tickets' queries and that has delayed us.

As for Mr S. We were mystified that his tickets stated delivered to Bristol on the Royal Mail site. (He lives in Prestwich)

About 3am on Sunday morning, I finally got round to looking at the days mail and there it was (returned to us by Royal Mail as incomplete address)
In fact the address was complete, postcode and everything but 'rd' had been obscured by the post sticker.

As for Broadband check with BT. Went down about 7pm on Saturday night - and.....therefore we can't get on our site from the shop but if you apply logic, everyone else can........Unless of course they dont have a broadband connection.

I've come home to deal with mail and weborders.

My staff are a little frazzled through lack of sleep but no one can accuse them of fobbing people off. If we don't spend 15 mins checking your individual order that's because currently our committment is to get last few hundred out by 4pm today. (with exception of late office orders after 10th - when I left, we were still waiting for tickets for those)

That answers query as to why we'd had them all in by Weds. We had. Then we were asked to send Office ones as well.

(It's not our style to lie to people - but seems we'd have got better press if we hadn't given so much time to Mr S. and been open and honest about the situation)

Just think how you'd feel having given up your evenings and weekend for a week and someone calls you a liar (for telling the truth)
Staff at BTS deserve thanks not criticism. Without their dedication, this would not have been possible.

We can sort out non-arrivals BUT not if you don't contact us first and not before Wednesday.

Zoe (BTS)

Well, just picked my ticket up, so am a very happy little bunny. Both the people in the shop were on the phone when I popped in saying stuff along the lines of "all the tickets have been posted".

Curiously enough, and I am not saying this is for related in anyway, but then the guy there phoned up the railways station and started to book two tickets to Great Malvern (close to the site) for what sounded like Wednesday. Hmmmm... Confused

Good luck to everyone else.

Yes, quite right too. Thank u bts, cant be easy dealing with the shear volume of tickets in short time. I was told that has to be sorted by hand which must be tiresome.
I called bts cus i was a bit concerned as i'm plannining to walk and leave tuesday morning. If the postie no bring tik in morning i can just call bts and they'll e-mail me a verification code which will be valid for entry.
So everyone stop whining and big chill out!
