What a fantastic festival!
- And an absolutely amazing bunch of Festival Weather friends to party with!
Great vibe, great site, brilliant music and absolutely stunning weather!
Already I'm finding myself smiling as I think of some of the 'happenings' over the weekend.
As the stories unfold again in your memory, ( ) why not share them here with us, to brighten the day.

I have so many highlights of this year that I don't know where to start!! Being hugged by random telling me how wonderful I am (ohh my ego!). Dancing with randoms who had so much energy it was scary. The bonkers lunchtime mash up crew. My best mate being pulled up to be part of the act in Pussy Parlor The general respect shown by all. The walkabout characters. Naked orange guy. The three masked guys during Koxbox. Glowsticks, and glowstick sellers. Chilling out under the gazebo. Chai tea. Pancakes. Bumping into so many friends. I really could go on all day.... oh and the music was pretty good to
I had such a good time I don't want the vibe to end, saw this place in the back of the program thought I'd come say hi

That was indeed a great festival. I had an awesome time, and especially enjoyed dancing to Hellfish and Producer, Roland the Bastard and Sphongle. My two sets of the weekend, though, were Zinc (of course) and the People's Republic of Disco doing Juke Joint in the Pussy Parlure... I got to pick tunes by Lady Sovereign, Zinc and Madonna... woo hoo! And dance to Prince and Salt n Pepa... easily the highlight of my weekend. Big up PROD!!!
And welcome to si and Zem.

Hi
We started the weekends dancing fun with Rowland, I'd not heard him before but was assured I'd love him and they were right, just as well there was lots of big dancing space
Was the Pussy Parlor on the Friday? My boyfriend came back from that convinced he was the King of Funk, he showed us his moves, there was some wiggle going on thats for sure

Rantings from the edge....
I think it was Friday afternoon,( could have been any day or time really <g>) when I bumped in to Jean, Syd was dancing his socks off at the origin stage. we just chatted about nothing really, but agreed we walk along together (as we were both going the same way) along the market. we looked at this, looked at that. when we got to the sticky arch I suggest we carried on to the rabbit tea house? to try and find Robin scarlet. when we got there is was farily empty - no Robin. There was some good jazz coming from the stage, so we got a ballon each, made our selves comftable in the soft arm chairs. the man opposite smiled as we sat down. A young girl to our left just stared- fixed - ahead. The sound of our ballons going in and out seemed to fit in well with the jazz. we both sat there for a while ...just... being. the man had gone. Jean made some comment about the jazz, wether it was live or recorded.... a couple arrived and asked if they could sit in the vacant seat opposite, we laughed and said of course, we were going anyway...we got up and left, going our serperate ways....
I have no idea why it sticks in my mind amongst all the chaos, maybe it was just a quiet moment, a peaceful moment, a moment shared......thanks Jean.. you and Syd are a very cool couple..
PS I hope I have spelt your name right <g>

Can't really put into words the experience I had, it's been spectacularly amazing wicked safe, nice one everyone.
I can honestly say I went through every single emotion known to man, and a few unknown to man! I saw much beauty, almost too much perhapse. The weather was almost too good, and the people I met were all so kind and friendly.
I've recovered quite quickly considering, just trying my best to keep seeing the good in everything, after such an awe inspiring experience.
Safe as fuck people, Dr Don....

The cabaret was awesome! A great way to easy ourselves into the Saturday, plus our friend got pulled up to be part of the acrobatics, having large knives juggled past him, before they turned him into a Super Star DJ
zenecho - It's funny the things that stick in your mind, my moment of the festival last year was seeing a middle class couple late 40's early 50's. They were dressed in smart clothes he had a shirt and jumper slung over his shoulders and she was wearing a long skirt and sensible shoes type outfits. I loved that he was carrying a glowstick and she had a cup that as they wondered along started to glow. As they stood there looking at the cup, into the sky, at the cup, ect, in a slight state of confusion, people wondering past would just stop and ask if them were OK.
I loved the acceptance from both the couple but also from the crowd, I don't know what they were doing there, maybe they were locals just checking it out but they didn't judge and weren't worried when a fully dressed up fairy gave them both a big hug. For me this summed up Glade, and to this day I wish I'd had a camera on me.

Wow Zem! What a lovely memory, that is indeed the spirit of the Glade... I love this image you've created of them being slightly bemused, but open to it, and the fairy obviously picking up on the same vibe you describe, and acting on his urge to embrace and welcome them... all humans discovering the vulnerable tissue of the moment... thanx, for that one, Zem...
And Zenecho! J told me about yr balloon interlude, she had a similar feeling about it you describe... nice, a special moment you two shared, and now have both shared with me! It's those random encounters that are the heart of the festy, like the guy that smiled at you as you sat down...
One of my best memories is simply of seeing a girl all dressed up in mad pink and orange outfit, with big stompy boots, getting her friend she had just run into at ID Spiral to photograph her, and then they chatting away, and laughing... she was so full of energy, bopping and zapping, and very compos mentos, I felt... when I suddenly realised I could take her picture, she kindly saw and responded by posing beautifully with her friend, and the two pictures turned out to be the best of my pics... (one didn't load during th six hours I spent uploading my pics tuesday ... I'm gonna post em both again! They'll be at the beginning of the photo album for this year's Glade!) After I took them I got up to show them to her, and she told me she was loving my stuff (meaning my stripey socks with sandles, pink mesh gloves and wristlets, and stuff in my dreads and my hat, and my shirt! ) which made me happy, cos I thought I was hardly noticeable next to her, and loved her efforts, so for her to say that was a charge for me!
