What a perfect weekend! A bit too hot during the day, but amazing at night. Beautiful decor and litter wasn't too bad either. Toilets were fab (well, as fab as a portaloo can be ). My only problem was with the water taps, there weren't enough around the site and the queues were very uncomfortably in the scorching heat! Food was fantastic although I little pricier than last year, and the varying price of water was a bit annoying.
Overall, a massive from me and knocturnal, stunning!
EDIT: Oh and the word that sums up the festival for me is "bimble" !

Praise-
Bloody well organised I had no ticket (administration cockup), sure I had to wait a SHORT time but it was all sorted out no problems..
learnt a new word "bimble" somes it up really
Its hard to find things to pick out to praise really it was all just fab so ! I had such a great time. The toilets were so much better this year, At now time did I find a toilet that you had someone seemed to have hung from the rafters to have a crap (how do they do that?) I even found one with toilet paper in on saturday!
Gripes-
WATER - nightmare, seemed to be less taps and some stopped working. understandable but still poor
Origin stage finishing SO early
Camper van site having passes, freinds could not visit.
Mayor fucking rant -
This is not about Glade this is about the people there-
1/ fucking shits who where robbing tents on Thursday night - fucking shameful bastards! I have no idea how to stop it.
2/ people who left their campsites in such a mess, really how long does it take just to pick up all your crap and put it in a bag, and just leave it where you are? you can also check that you have nothing behind! My heart goes out to all those poor pastards who have to clean up after YOU!!!
3/ Peoples attitude to the security gaurds shadow security ? whats with the attitude? I had a campervan, it was searched ( not very intentsly goning in) but I guess enough to find any hidden persons and large amounts of achcol.... Yes they were driving rounds in there flashing vans.Yes they did not smile a lot..Yes some where the size of two gorillas, not as big as the black swan in bristol though ....but fuck thats what they are there for.. At no time did I feel intimdidated by them, or threatened. I at now time saw them abuse any one, or be haevy handed and I m sure if I had seen someone robbing a tent I would have been glad to seem them. so can someone please explain why on sunday night I saw large group of people shouting abouse, throwing things at them.. why? It just makes no sencse, they are not the enemy.
all power to Glade and the organisers, amazing job - see ya next year

Pretty much the same as Kittyfly for me - and as for her the taps were a major dampener. The three nearest the main FW camp (behind ID Spiral) only rarely had any water, and could find only one of the ten taps marked in the arenas part of the site.
Musically this Glade was incredible - I discovered a few new artists and have just doubled the length of my "I want" CD list. I even (Shock! Horror!) found myself anjoying Zinc's DnB set

Just back, had an amazing time (mostly).
Couple of quick points.
Water points were rubbish this year. More people, less taps. Im sure the bottle sellers made a nice profit on their £1.50 bottles... in my mind, if you have toilets there you need a tap. I dont understand why there were less.
Toilets MUCH MUCH better. The newly designed ones never seemed too bad and I never opened one that I didnt want to go into.
I have some seriously bad stories about over-aggressive security, which I saw with my own eyes. It was pretty disheartening to see them treating obviously confused people with such contempt, even ignoring the Oxfam Supervisors words of wisdom.
Generally the security seemed to keep the jumpers out and the tents safe, their presence did effect the mood a lot for me, though I know they are a necessity their behaviour was occasionally a little over the top.
Music, for me the variety was much better this year (except the breaks *yawn* mostly) loved Liquid and heard one of the most amazing sets of my life (possibly, the) watching Juno Reactor. Tears were shed by several of us
+the psy lineup improved much this year, was fantastic to see two stages with a broader appreciation of psy. Origin had to close at night due to weather issues last year, but why was it a problem when you had liquid?!
Site was well laid out, food was very special (as ever) and the people were just lovely.
This is all for now. Im pooped.

also had a magical time. amazing festival, beautiful decor especially the origin stage (also agree with zen that it was too early to shut at midnight. i did hear that it was because of complaining neighbours last year though).
toilets also not as bad as i thought they would be!
music amazing, we were proper spoilt for choice.
LOVED the breaks tent on friday night, rennie pilgrim and krafty kuts were proper RUDE BOYS
everything was just so amazing
and of course, it would not have been as good if it wasn't for you folks. have some wonderful wonderful memories that will be with me forever
and i am still broken!!

Other things:
Decor was amazing, lazers amazing (more please ) flags, amazing, the new 'other end' of the site by the Liquid stage was a welcome addition.
One wonders if the gas petition worked
Whatever they put in those big orange balloons had me seeing things quite beautifully.
Oh, and whatever happenend to the supposed 'super fence' or something? Other than the 100m at the entrance? Not having a pop, just wondering if we can sort the truth from the myth about the increase in ticket prices...

Had an absolutely amazing time, security in my opinion were fine- where i was camping (right behind the id spiral by the fence) there were a lot of fence jumpers on the friday night.. i was quite scared at first as i remember from last year everyone saying how they beat up the fence jumpers, instead there was no violence at all, and in fact they seriuosly kept their cool with some very very annoying comments from the jumpers. Then i had two of the security sat outside my tent for the rest of friday night/saturday morning, they kept the noise down when i was trying to sleep and were pretty pleasant really. The festival this year was just as amazing as last year and i truely loved it. Can't wait till next years Glade. x

Raaarr, good times
Kevin Saunderson was immense on the main stage on Friday. Then Saturday, me and nologo had a good 12 hours where we found one blinding set after another. I went with a breaks mindset but with the sound being so frustrating in Breaksday we randomly ended up having a bit of a minimalist techno weekend with some other stuff thrown in. Rounded it off there on Sunday though with Eddie Temple Morris playing Rage against the Machine.
I heard stories about security being heavy-handed with people who weren't doing any harm and saw them being really, really, really unhelpful in a few situations where the stewards, if anyone, should have been the ones to step in. Total contrast with the security at Stir who were the loveliest, fluffliest security people ever!
Same as above re: toilets and water. Much improved for the former and much more needed of the latter.
It was lovely to come back to Glade from last year when we met a couple of people from the forum, to this year when there were getting on for hundreds of shiney, familiar faces from all over. Gaudi even came over to hug nologo when he saw him! We were both a bit after cos he's one of nologo's favourites.
Much love to Ralf who sorted us out with tickets when we were a bit too slow on the up-take. We'll be quicker next year xxx

Positives - bangface night carried over so well to the festival, which I didnt think would really work. Great weather! Some excellent sets especially Jamie Lidell and Luke Vibert. Loooooads more but it's easier to isolate what was wrong then elaborate on what was right. Also loads of places to chill if it all got too much.
Gripes - all of this stuff about keeping the location and lineup secret for security was a joke, there wasn't a single nice surprise on the lineup for me and I saw people jumping over the pitifull fence next to ID spiral exactly the same as last year - locals who had seen it being set up. Security really freaked me out when I wasn't too sober and they were being ridicolously harsh over things like dispensing nitrous! No real class headline acts especially compared to last year and the littlebig was the same size despite promising it to be larger. Saturday night people in their hundreds turned back becasue there was no space. Also I thought it was a bit cheeky charging £5 return for the bus (and it being unbelievably slow) and also telling people to get tickets to reading not thatcham - meaning an extra £5 quid each either way.
Basically I think it was a great festival like last year, but the organisers still need to seriously tackle some basic probems, especially concerning the space and facilities available now there are more people.
Just realised this is a bit of a dismal first post, could have written pages of good things!

We saw him on the main stage at Sunrise and nologo saw him in the crowd after and thanked him for a good set. Then we saw him around Sunrise loads after that but didn't chat or anything. Lovely bloke
Ooooo, also massive thank you to Guy from Wales who did the massage on my back on Friday afternoon. It had been a bit painful since Glade last year and I came fully loaded up with paracetamol expecting bad things but didn't need it once. Whatever you did, it worked!

toilets were incredibly good... not once was I confronted with an unpleasant sight when opening the door! A first! Defininitely improved my whole festival! I reckon the organisers must know that the fences were crap, the security people heavy-handed (they should not be there to police the punters! Fuck sake, stop the jumpers and let us paying punters get on with a party without looking over our shoulders to see if security are going to pounce!)... disappointing, as said above, that with all the subterfuge leading up to it, it all seems to have been mind games with no substance.... makes you wonder... I'll have faith they really mean to make it better every year until we see what they do next year... after that, it's Boom, the following year, and if similar apparent hot air and no action goes on, we might think about missing it the year of Boom... except the artists do such brilliant work, I'll always want to be there!
Fairy garden is a work of genius and great soul... I want to send thanx and special vibes to the people who have evolved that space... you are lovely!

With regards to security, I thought their behaviour was way over the top at times, three of them kneeling on a guy's chest when he was tripping,s houting to him to "CALM DOWN, JUST FUCKING CALM DOWN!" when he wasn't bothering anyone. And my mate who ended up outside the festival area when he wondered off, also got very roucghly handed by the guards, with them threatening to tear off his armband so he couldn't get into the festival again. They also took all of his weed and his grinder, which I guess in a way is understandable, but on the other hand they're not the police, so I think they could just have let that pass as well.
However the festival as such was wicked, it was great to meet you guys and I really enjoyed the music! Not too happy being back to work but at east there's Boom to look forward to now!
